Dollhouses and Knitting

By Afamiliarillusion

SAMSUNGWell it turns out I’m not as well and able as I thought, but I do have plenty of stuff to post about. The other night I decided I would learn how to knit again because honestly you could not have paid me to knit something without looking up how, I had so completely forgotten it. But luckily it took me all of 30 minutes to re learn it and after making a small swatch I made this adorable sweater and already I’m changing the patterns. Knitting and crochet are half science, half sport. Super easy. I made this sweater from a free pattern Here. She has many great knitting patterns for Pullips and they are so cute! Here it is flat.

I also made a top for Frankie. I am meaning to add to it to make it more of a baby doll pajama with some bottoms. The trouble I’m having with crocheting for Monster High dolls is that the are SOOOOO incredibly skinny and then their hips and quite wide. I like to make clothes that can be pulled on and off, but it’s looking like I’m going to have to add some kind of closure to their clothes. When I come up with something acceptable, I’ll post the pattern. I know there is a lack of MH crochet patterns.

I’ve also started working to redo my smallest dollhouse. Right now it’s pretty ugly, but soon I will redo the wallpaper, make some furniture, and knit and crochet some rugs and curtains.

For some reason that back corner would not focus. I actually got those two porcelin dolls at the dollar store for Christmas. They fit perfectly and though they are not that great of quality, they are nice fillers so my Suve isn’t so lonely.

I’ll post soon with updates on the dollhouse and some tutorials and tips for saving money! Yay!
