DOES CELLULITE CREAM ACTUALLY WORK?
WHAT IS CELLULITE?
Cellulite is caused by the build up of fat, water and lymphatic fluid under the skin, it is also caused by female sex hormones (That is why Men don’t really suffer from it).
I have never worried too much about cellulite, it has never been one of my main body concerns, as I think MOST women will have it (Well I would like to meet a women who didn’t), and I am fortunate not to have A LOT of it.
BUT since becoming a blogger and a fan of reviewing such products I decided to try a cellulite cream out and see if it actually works?
Having signed up for the 10k Race for Life, and getting back in to training, I thought it would be a good time to put the cream to a test.
THE PRODUCT
I brought two SOAP AND GLORY products, SLIMWEAR (Pictured above) and a BODY CONTOURING CREAM (I haven’t started using this one yet).
I brought them a while back and have been using SLIMWEAR over the past month. It is marketed as an anti cellulite, puff-draining cream, which is meant to help firm and improve the tone and appearance of cellulite. It is also said to include a triple-action peptide to help on the more stubborn areas of cellulite.
It is MINT green in colour, and has a MENTHOL smell to it which gives the skin a refreshing and cooling feel, (And the impression the cream is doing something).
HOW TO USE IT?
SOAP AND GLORY recommend to use it in the morning, and to use circular motions from knees to thigh.
(Suggesting a PM application for a better effect)
I used it most evenings, (I can’t say every evening but almost) I couldn’t apply it in the mornings as I found the cream left a ‘sticky’ feeling and it took ages to absorb, (Imagine trying to put jeans on after that – Nightmare) so I applied it after the bath when I could put my comfy joggers on.
MY THOUGHTS?
I personally didn’t think it worked on my cellulite, it has helped improve the feel of the skin, but I haven’t noticed anything else. Maybe I would have seen an improvement if I had used it in the mornings as well.
I have read other reviews on it, and it appears that most agree with me, but think it is good for a smoothing thigh treatment.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Most cellulite creams are expensive, but Slimwear is only £3.99 on Amazon, so it isn’t a bad price if you want to try it yourself.

To be honest, I think that the only thing that reduces the appearance of cellulite is exercise and a good diet (Unfortunately I don’t think there is such thing as a MAGIC cream), However I am now going to start using the Soap and Glory Body Contouring Cream I brought with Slimwear, I will let you know how I get on with it, (Maybe I will be proved wrong with this one).
