DIY Face Cleanser: A Simple Face Cleanser You Can Make at Home Using Castile Soap and Essential Oils

By Yongwei318

I am a huge fan of castile soap, they can be used for a broad range of purposes - as shampoo, body wash, makeup remover and even household cleaning such as dishwashing, window cleaning or laundry! So, I finally got down to making my own DIY face cleanser with castile soap and essential oils. You might ask, why make your own skincare? Well, DIY skincare is natural, sustainable and it allows you to express and empower yourself. You feel good knowing exactly what goes into it and you feel safe using it. If you need another push to make your own skincare, it would be that the process of making your own skincare is very therapeutic.
This DIY face cleanser is easy to make and it works well on combination skin like mine. I use this in the morning when my face needs a little perk-me-up, or at night after removing makeup with jojoba oil (also great for combination skin).

If you don’t want essential oils in your DIY facial cleanser, simply omit them.
If you have sensitive skin, test a small amount first to make sure you don’t have an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients or essential oils before using this DIY facial cleanser on your whole face.
If you’re looking to make your own face cleanser, here are some things to consider:
1) Choose a castile soap base that’s made with vegetable oils and doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients.
2) Look for essential oils that are suitable for your skin type. For combination skin, it would be essential oils like frankincense, lavender, chamomile and tea tree oil. These oils have anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe redness and blemishes on combination skin.
3) Consider getting a dropper to extract rose water from glass bottle to avoid spillage.
If you’re looking for a way to cleanse your face without harsh chemicals, this DIY face cleanser recipe is perfect for glowing skin. It uses castile soap and essential oils that are gentle on combination skin type, but still cleanse the skin without drying it out.
