Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Hour 4

I am a couple of hours in and I am taking a break for hour three to join the community discussions. Hi all my fellow Deweys! Sleepiness is there in the back of my head as its past 12am for me at the time of writing this, and I didn’t end up taking a nap before the read-a-thon liked I planned to. But I have meal prepped for the duration of the 24 hours, have a number of snacks to choose from and a few energy drinks for me to steadily work my way through to try and keep myself going as much as possible. I know I will nap at some point, but as of right now I am feeling really good about where I am.

Currently Reading:

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon – Hour 4

Page Count: 140

I am super happy with this count. I am basically halfway through my book already. The words are huge on the page but the progress makes me feel good. I may go looking for other large text books.

Get To Know You Survey

1. What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

From the Land Down Under! (Australia) Most of us are normally are in bed by now so any other Asutralian’s participating should hit me up. We can cheer each other on.

2. Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

There isn’t really a book I am most looking forward to. The things I am trying to get through are ones that have been sitting on my shelf for awhile because I haven’t had strong interest, have forgotten about them, or something else that has made me leave them for awhile. I am rather enjoying The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness though. Its the first book of his I have read and I am finding it interesting but its nothing ground breaking so far, which I have heard about this book, if not rather negative things about it.

3. Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Probably my actual dinner. I have tried to keep myself to mostly healthy snacks as I don’t want to have a sugar crash if I can avoid it.

4. Tell us a little something about yourself!

This is the first read-a-thon I have participated in two years! The last one was the October Dewey’s in 2016.

5. If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

I just want to try and keep sleeping to a minimum. Pick easy things to read to keep myself motivated.
