I thought these were some interesting results. It turns out that, on these social issues above, the Republicans don't think their representatives in Congress adequately represent their views. Note that on all four issues the no's outnumber the yes's (although the difference on abortion is within the poll's margin of error). Meanwhile, the Democrats say their representatives do represent their views -- and those saying yes over no exceed the poll's margin of error.
And it goes beyond just social issues. A different poll found that only 34% of Republicans approve of the job their congressional officials are doing overall, while a whopping 61% disapproved. It was just the opposite for the Democrats -- as 63% approved of the job their elected officials are doing, while only 32% disapproved.
This tells me that Democratic incumbents in competitive districts are probably safer than Republican incumbents in competitive districts -- and Democrats will probably protect their incumbents, while Republicans may be unhappy enough to vote third party (or just stay home).
The two charts above were made from a Pew Research Center survey done between September 2nd and 9th of a random national sample of 2,002 adults, with a margin of error of 2.5 points.
The bottom two charts were made from a Washington Post / ABC News Poll done between September 4th and 7th of a random national sample of 1,001 adults, and has a margin of error of 3.5 points.

Now a third poll has been issued showing this same thing. It is the Rasmussen Poll that was done on September 21st and 22nd of 1,000 likely voters nationwide, with a 3 point margin of error. This poll's results are represented in the charts below.
