Inspiron 5000 Laptop Dell has just launched their Inspiron 14 3000 Series and Inspiron 14 and 15 5000 Series laptops. The new laptops have been made with power and comfort in mind, with main features including high capacity hard drives and responsive 10-finger touch displays with up to Full HD resolution. These family-friendly laptops also feature 20GB of Dropbox cloud storage for sharing, saving and collaborating among family and friends, and a facial recognition software for better protection online.

“Students and parents alike want technology that helps them to be successful in their personal and educational pursuits,” said Charlz Adano, Marketing Manager, Dell Consumer Group. “Our new Inspiron laptops are a smart investment for families, providing the latest technology for productivity and entertainment in thin, space-saving designs.” For me, it's all about the weight. I don't know about you, but as the average consumer whose knowledge about laptops is somewhere above "next to nothing", I don't mind whether the newly released laptop has the processing power of a Q2 2011 AMD CPU. As long as the laptop in question can multitask, I'm OK with it. So my main concern is the weight. I can't be expected to lug around a 20-lb laptop everywhere I go. Thankfully the Inspiron 14 3000 Series laptops bring value to the table as Dell's latest, more affordable line of portable computers. These weight just about 3 pounds, and pricing starts from P18,590 (without the Windows OS, IIRC). For the mid-range Inspiron 14 5000 Series and high-end Inspiron 15 5000 Series, pricing starts from P38,990 and P40,990, respectively. The real defining features of these Inspiron laptops are their lightweight and portable design, good battery life they can run up to 8 hours, and 4th Generation Intel® Core™ processors.
