Deborah Milano is a brand I've seen crop up on blogs time and time again and as you can imagine I was very happy to be asked if I'd like to try one of their lip products! For anyone who doesn't know, Deborah Milano is a top Italian cosmetics brand which is now making its debut in the UK. I decided to go for one of the Shine Creator Lipsticks in shade #7. I've turned into a bit of a lipstick fiend lately but what puts me off is the thought of the color clinging to any dry patches. Thankfull there's no need to worry about this lipstick as it leaves your lips looking nice and moisturised while still giving them a nice pop of color. I'm sorry for the overused blogger lingo, apparently I can't help myself anymore.
The Shine Creator Lipstick is formulated to give you a 3-in-1 product, with it giving you the color payoff of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the moisturising effect of a lip balm. I'm happy to report back that this lipstick succeeds in giving you all 3 as I've managed to add a gorgeous watermelon color to the lips which is both glossy and moisturising! I'd say this formula is very similar to that of the Revlon Lip Butters which is probably another reason why I'm loving this lipstick so much, with the color in the tube appearing more sheer on the lips unless you build it up. The wear time of the Shine Creator Lipstick was pretty standard as I managed to get a good few hours wear before it faded, but even then I found that a slight stain was left which meant my lips were looking brighter throughout the day. One of the biggest selling points for me is that this lipstick also has SPF 15 which is perfect for the summer time as your lips can be protected from the sun while still looking lovely. One more thing I need to mention is the packaging because it's unlike anything else I've seen! I'm so used to the standard shaped lipstick tube in my stash so I was surprised to see this stylo pen inspired tube come through the letterbox. I think that the curved design really makes it stand out and the packaging also features a secure lid which means you don't need to worry about it popping off in your makeup bag.
All in all I'm so happy with the Shine Creator Lipsticks from Deborah Milano and have even been reaching for this shade more than my beloved Lip Butters lately which says a lot! You can find the Shine Creator Lipsticks on the Deborah Milano website (here) and these retail for £8.50 which again is very comparable to the price of the Revlon Lip Butters.
