We all know what it is like to be beyond exhaustion, trying to get things done during our day. Those days when it seems there isn’t enough coffee, or Redbulls to get us going.

I am often guilty of saying the phrase : ” Oh help me Lord!”

When a child spills their cereal bowl, or falls off their bikes scraping their knees. Sometimes it is that ” one more” thing that pushes our patience levels into the ground. We hit the ground on our knees and ask for help.

When we ask for help, what do we expect? Immediate relief from the problems in our lives? An encouraging word from a friend? An extra set of hands to suddenly show up at our doorstep offering their cleaning services?

When asking myself what I want from that prayer is just for the Holy Spirit to help me through the day, to calm my nerves, and to guide my thoughts and path.

There was that one day that that help showed up in a real way, and today I would love to share it with you.

The laundry basket was overflowing with rancid stomach virus clothing, sheets and pillow cases. With no one there to help I cried out to the Lord to give me strength.

” Jesus! SEND ME ANGELIC HELP!”

I walked out of my bedroom to check on the sick kids in the living room. Holding my laundry basket with both hands I journeyed down the hallway, slow paced with no energy to spare.

Suddenly someone pushed my back. Not a harsh push, but a push that made my steps more effective, faster. I turned around to see no one in that hallway, just myself . I knew it was Angelic help strengthening me. I continued to walk as the Angel had his hands on my back, pushing me forward. I could physically feel his touch , and became confident I could wash all the clothes, take care of all the children, and I could do it with grace.

I wish that I could tell you that I feel that Angel everyday, I don’t. That doesn’t mean that he isn’t there watching me, interceding for my strength and my patience with my children.

  • In this experience I learned that all we have to do as followers of Christ is simply ask for his help. He will not leave us when we call for him.
  • Angelic activity is constantly happening around us. We all have entertained Angels more than a few times in our lives.

Hebrews 1:14

“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

Luke 22:43

” An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.”

Thank you for joining me in this series, stay tuned for DAY THREE, coming tomorrow!
