Day off at the Hyatt with Crush Boutique Part 1:

By Scorpiondisco @scorpiondisco
Can we all agree that it's pretty impossible to do actual work in the throes of a busy - and food-filled - Holiday season? That's why I played hookie last week at the Hyatt Regency in Boston. With carte blanche to the racks at Crush Boutique a few minutes away on Charles Street, I styled a few looks perfect for a city stay-cation.
Afternoon drinks at the Hyatt's Avenue One? Don't mind if I do!
Day off at the Hyatt with Crush Boutique Part 1:The fourth floor landing at the Hyatt Regency is the perfect backdrop for my leather-loving look. I paired the sweetness of the school-girl silhouette with a tough leather skirt. Designer Amanda Uprichard perfectly cast glossy leather and strategic seams that effortlessly off-set the cutesy flounce.
I'm not one who naturally gravitates towards layers, but this lightweight sweater is easy to wear, and most importantly, easy to throw a winter coat over when I need to brave the outdoors. I've said it a million times - I hate that starfish feeling of wearing stiff layers, a la the little brother in A Christmas Story. I immediately snagged this snake print one from Old Navy, which I immediately wanted to pair with my silk blouse from Kenneth Cole. I love how the contrasting snake prints play on both the matchy-matchy trend and the strategically clashing trend.
