Whilst everyone else seemed to be sorting out mundane jobs like student finance this week, I was betting on horses instead. 
So on Thursday me and my two best friends (plus best friends mum) got all dolled up and went to York races. Well I say 'dolled up', I was dressed more like a tomboy teenage girl who refuses to wear skirts or dresses. I may not be able to speak on behalf of all my petite ladies out there, but I certainly find high waisted trousers so much more flattering for a smaller leg...am I right? Anyway, I wore my YSL pinstriped trouser suit with my mum's old polka dot Principles blouse. I also gave my beloved Zara mules their first grand outing. I thought it was a pretty safe bet because for some reason, I thought that mules were supposed to be relatively comfortable.After about 9 hours of standing I started to think otherwise.
