Do you cycle?  Are you cycling safely?  Do you have any cycle safety tips to share?  On my quest for some sort of “convenient” exercise (yes I make excuses) I thought that maybe I should cycle.  After all, in my area, EVERYONE seems to cycle – there are even cycle parking spots in strategic areas.  The problem, though for me was that these crazy people were cycling on BUSY roads  next to cars that were zooming along as if the cyclists were not even there!   Now perhaps you are used to being that close to a quickly moving hunk of metal, but I’m not…so I started making excuses like “where would I put the cycle at home?” and “how stupid would I look with a cycle helmet?” etc…but those were just excuses and it would really be a good past time to adopt.  Not only would I be doing much-needed daily exercise but I will also be saving on travel money – after all, public transit and fuel in England are not cheap!

So if you’re like me and need some encouragement, there are a few things you can try to make sure that your cycle journey is safe.  And if you’re one of the brave souls, kudos for you – read Cycling tips for Winter from LV= anyway because some of you are nuts.
