Are you hosting a New Years celebration?

It makes no difference if you are hosting a New Years celebration or if it is just you and the family. This easy appetizer will be a hit with everyone.

Remember when I made that Cranberry-Apple-Relish last month? Here is a recipe where I utilized that relish. Trust me it is not just for Thanksgiving.

If you made the relish and gave it as a gift, I hope you saved a jar for yourself.  You can use the store bought stuff. I just don’t think it will taste as good.

I will bet you still have a bit left in the jar that you can dollop on top  of a big wedge of Brie. I like to add a bit of pecans or walnuts to give it a bit of extra crunch.

This is a easy and delicious appetizer you will want to make over and over again. I do and everyone loves it.

Cranberry Apple Relish Baked Brie

Ingredients:

1 (8 oz) wheel of Brie Cheese

1/2 jar Cranberry Apple Relish

1 skeeve Ritz or other crackers

3 tablespoons pecans or walnuts for garnish

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut a thin layer of the rind off the top of the brie. Place the brie in an oven proof dish that is wide enough to hold the cheese. Spoon the Relish on top of the cheese. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the sides of the Brie is very soft and warm to the touch. Serve with crackers and a spreading knife.

Peace be with you,

Veronica
