As far as food, there are a lot of great options -  brisket/sausage tacos, corn dogs, burgers, a tater explosion, corn on a cob, sweet tea, freshly squeezed lemonade and made to order kettle corn.  At our visit, lines were long, but bring your patience...it's worth it!

I purchased our tickets half off from a deal website ($18), but there are military and group discounts. Please check their website for special promotions. As a family of 4, we probably spent $60 on the grounds, for food, games and pumpkins.
But one of the best things about this place is that you can bring in your own ice chest/food and have your lunch or snacks at a picnic table, in the shade, right on the grounds! Corn shootin' and Hay ridin' at the South Texas Maize
Hope you get a chance to visit, we had a great time!
