Today I had the opportunity to interview Elysa from Makeup by Elysa. Elysa is an aspiring makeup artist from Scotland. She covers everything girly on her blog from nail polish reviews, makeup tips, and more. She takes time to do tutorials that cover the fundamentals of makeup. These are great for both newbies and vets alike.
GRW: Why did you start Makeup By Elysa?
I was actually bored one night and thought it would be fun to start a blog. I always loved Zoella And Sprinkle Of Glitter so they kind of inspired me to start writing my blog and of course my love for makeup.
GRW: How long have you been blogging?
1 year as of March 31st.
GRW: What was your 1st ever blog post?
A welcome post just telling people what I will be blogging about. You can actually find that post here .
GRW: What’s the worse beauty product you ever tried?
I’m not to sure. I have tried lots of really bad products. I think I will have to say 2 are a tie. MAC Minrelized SPF15 Foundation. This product is poo. They got rid of it because it looks weird on peoples faces. Then the Maybelline BB Cream. It is pure orange and smells horrid.
GRW: Ice cream or froyo (frozen yogurt)?
Well I hate ice cream unless its Ben And Jerrys and there is only one of them that does not contain gluten and that’s fish food. So in the long run I will have to say froyo.
GRW: What’s your favorite drugstore brand?
Now I have a lot of allergies. So I’m allergic to a lot of products. But I do love me some lip butters. I like different drug store brands for different things. I like Revlon for lips. I love Maybelline for mascara. I love the Loreal Infallable Foundation for my kit.
GRW: A ton of mascara or falsies?
Well I love both. On days I can’t be bothered wearing falsies, I go for a ton of mascara. But I LOVE falsies.
GRW: Name 5 things in your purse right now?
My iPhone, business cards, 2 MAC lipsticks from the Archies Girls Collection and ear phones.
GRW: Name 1 must-have beauty product you always have on hand?
A lipstick. It always finishes off a look. If you pick the right lipstick it can always change your look no matter what else you have on.
