Smartphones, whether it is for personal or business use. It is perfect for maintaining productivity while away from the office and keeping in touch with your company even while you are away, meaning you can work anytime and anywhere with the help of your Smartphones. Twenty decades into its existence, the Smartphone is still being improved on, and year after year, more powerful Smartphones packed with various helpful features are introduced to the market.

Two of the most talked about Smartphones available in the market today are the Google Nexus 4 and the BlackBerry Z10. The first one is a popular choice of entrepreneurs who own small and mid-sized businesses because it is one of the most affordable Smartphones in the market with some great features available. The latter is popular for an altogether different reason – it is an attempt by BlackBerry (nee Research in Motion) to redeem itself from the indignities of a declining patronage.

These two Smartphones look different from each other in comparison. As the first fully touchscreen phone of the BlackBerry, the Z10 has a more functional and stylish look, as is usually the case with its line of Smartphones. The Nexus 4 has a more playful undercurrent that is balanced with a sense of formality. The Z10 is a much smaller and lighter device, with a dimension of 130 x 65.6mm, a thickness of 9mm and a weight of 137.5g. The Google Nexus 4, meanwhile, has a dimension of 133.9 x 68.7mm, a thickness of 9.1mm and a weight of 139g.

The Nexus 4 may be a cheap Smartphone compared to other phones available nowadays, but the design and build make it look like the contrary. It is sturdily built with a rubbery circumference and a matrix of silver dots located on the rear panel. The BlackBerry Z10, meanwhile, has a simple and clean design, banking on rounded corners and straight edges.

Being the most recent Smartphone just released this year, the BlackBerry Z10 has a higher screen resolution compared to the Nexus 4 at 768 x 1280 pixels. This means that, having a 4.2-inch screen, the Z10 has a pixel density of 356ppi, the highest so far of any Smartphone officially introduced in the market. While the Google Nexus 4 has the same resolution, by virtue of its larger screen at 4.6 inches, it has a lower pixel density at 320ppi. The only problem with the BlackBerry Z10 is that fingerprints are easily attracted since apparently no oleophobic coating was used.

Meanwhile, if you prize performance, then you will be making a better decision by choosing the Nexus 4 over BlackBerry Z10. The Nexus 4 features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor fitted with 2GB of RAM while the BlackBerry Z10 is still stuck with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with a 2GB RAM.

The Nexus 4 features Android’s 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, while the BlackBerry Z10 runs with BlackBerry 10. Nexus 4 is absolutely perfect for general and specific use while the BlackBerry Z10 is tailor-fit for business use.
