ColourPop Yes, Please Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Like I mentioned in one of my recent posts, ColourPop is on a roll when it comes to new releases. I think all of us beauty enthusiasts squealed with delight over this palette. We were stunned by the Natasha Denona Sunset palette. That palette is gorgeous, but it is well beyond what most of us can afford. I've never tried anything by Natasha Denona, so I cannot say if this palette is a dupe or not. All I know is that I couldn't pass up a warm eyeshadow palette by one of my favorite brands.


The Yes, Please Palette comes with 12 warm toned eyeshadows in matte and shimmer finishes.

• Full Zip is a matte ivory
• Big Cocktails is a matte sunset orange
• Champs is a matte light peach
• Bling is a metallic rusty copper
• Louie is a peachy orange with a gold sheen
• Butter Cake is a metallic gold
• Spoiled is a matte rusty red
• Gno is a matte burnt orange
• Mischief is a matte sunshine yellow
• Note To Self is a matte caramel
• Chauffeur is a metallic orangey gold
• French Kiss is a matte dark brown with warm undertones

I'm going to start with the only negative thing I can say about this palette, and that is how powdery and messy the shadows are. Don't expect to keep this palette clean and pristine for long. The second you put a brush into one of the shades, you will have product everywhere. Oddly enough, I haven't dealt with a lot of fallout during application. 

The pigment of these shadows is outstanding. It has been quite awhile since I have been this impressed with the color payoff of an eyeshadow palette. I almost always use an eyeshadow primer for eyeshadow swatches, but with these, primer doesn't make much of a difference in terms of color payoff. Texture wise, the metallic shades are very buttery while the mattes have a more dense, more stiff texture. All of the shades, including the mattes, apply and blend perfectly. I find that I don't have to spend a lot of time building up the colors and blending doesn't take very long. The only color that gives me a little bit of trouble is French Kiss and that is because it is more rough in texture than any of the others. But with a little bit of time and effort, it looks beautiful. 
The packaging is made out of cardboard, but it is pretty sturdy. It doesn't take up a lot of space and it does not come with a mirror. The size of the pans are smaller than the individual ColourPop pressed shadows. The shadows in this palette are 0.85g each and a normal pressed shadow is 1.5g. You still get a good bit of product and for $16, this palette cannot be beat. I am willing to say that this is probably the best quality palette I own.
