Colorbar Lighten Up Lip Mender Review

By Apoorva @perksofbeauty

Colorbar Cosmetics has always been one of the awesome brands that are available in India. Every time they come up with new products, I swear I will always own at least one product from that range. Ever since they launched their skincare I can't stop myself going gaga over their primer, setting mist also I was really excited and intrigued with their Lighten Up Lip Mender. I have pigmented lips and I always wanted to have a product that would lighten up my lip color. I have tried a numerous brands' lip balms, lotions but nothing really worked. Lemon & honey might work but I am too lazy/impatient to see results. So, I had to try this colorbar Lighten Up Lip Mender.

What Does The Product Say:
A light yet pampering lip conditioner that smoothed and lightens dry, dark and chapped lips. Powered with the 'DAB' formula, it actively fights against pigmentation.Just pump out a small amount and apply directly from bottle. Pat gently until absorbed. Use each day as a lip conditioner and as a base under your favorite lip color or lip gloss.

Package:
The colorbar lighten up lip mender used to come in a package that is similar to the present ultimate eye cream. The package was renewed a while back and I have the latest product with new packaging. Colorbar Lighten Up Lip Mender comes in a Pearlescent white tube with a silver cap. The opening of the tube is quite unique with a tiny round tip in silver shade. I loved the package.

MY TAKE:
To start off, I have really dry pigmented lips.I have always wanted to try something to lighten up my lips but was unsure and was also impatient. I somehow feel that I bought this one at the right time. The formula is white colored semi liquid like and spreads easily on the lips. This at first felt like a lip gloss but after a minute or two, the liquid totally gets absorbs into your lips and turns dry. I must say the smell was pleasant but tastes artificial. The Lighten Up Lip Mender made my lips dry at first use and the next day the lips seem to be chapped and once you scrub off,you can actually see that the outer layer of your lips' skin is coming off. After a prolonged use, I am sure this will surely make your lips look lighter than before. I am still in the half way to go. I might share my before and after effect pictures.

My Rating - ★★★★
FINAL WORDS:

It totally works if you use it continuously. Lightening the lip color means next to impossible, so don't expect miracles. All you get to see is a shade or two lighter shade than your existing lip color. But I would suggest you to stay dehydrated and stay away from coffee etc
