I’ve been making a concerted effort to consider new color palettes lately in thinking about a balance of colors for our house.  I tend to relate to textures more than colors, which is why vintage photographs that mix fashion and decor really speak to me.   I love the floral print, gold hardware, velvety robe with fur collar, as well as the pop of yellow (and white piping) and the acrylic tray.  Wish I started my day like this every morning!  Thanks to the “Monocled Miss” in Slim Aaron’s 1964 photograph inspired today’s color palette.

P.S. I’m thinking about turning these vintage photograph-inspired color palettes into a regular feature on the blog.  Chime in and let me know what you think!
