Clarifications of Comments Rules for Delphi Commenters

Posted on the 12 April 2017 by Calvinthedog

Mike Pallin: Yikes- I’m now afraid to comment, and mention anything political, and it’s such a great site for all sorts of subjects. I “strongly agree” with Lotus, especially on “crime etc.”- you really have to open up all avenues irregardless of their political affiliations, as in that way the truth can be brought out. Example of course is the people of Indiana, some could hold great information, but not be of the political persuasion that Robert likes. I’m glad in his comment, he will allow “all people” to comment on crime, as you have to put the victims first.

I once read a great book written by a famous author on the subject of human development. People were asking him why God or Jesus Christ was not mentioned. His reply – if you read carefully “between the lines” and understand the theme of the book, you will realize God is mentioned repeatedly. He went on to say- if I use the word God or Jesus, it may turn other people off, and I want my book to appeal to “all the masses” because it’s message is that of love and human growth, and I want all people to embrace it ( I agree with this).

I’m a Canadian, and we are more a socialist country, much like an Obama country would be run. I’m OK with it, as that’s the way it is whether I like it or not – and I really don’t vote. Canada is similar to the US in a lot of ways and different in a lot of ways-example-gun control, military activity etc. I have to be OK with it, as I live here and have to respect the laws and also have American friends that live here, married US girls.

In summary, for myself, I don’t really care what people’s political beliefs are, as I may want to learn from them. I’m not going to change them, but I’m interested in human nature and why they think the way they do ?

I would make comments on Trump here, but now I won’t. I had a great conversation with an American friend, and we both discussed Trump, and I asked what he and his family thought of Trump – he’s from Virginia, and his reply was “not good”, and feels Trump has failed on his immigration and reforming Obamacare and somewhat embarrassing the US. I won’t say what “my reply was” as it may not conform to the blog? I did take a very “objective opinion” and pointed out pros and cons, and we had a great talk. Doesn’t matter to me though, as it’s American politics, and of course I’m Canadian.

I do not know what the Alt left is??? But it sounds like it’s a philosophy of running a country on “extreme socialism”- I’m not quite sure? But would be interested in finding out. I also think for healthy discussion, people with different political views should be welcomed in order to give the Alt Left validity and show how strong it is and healthy in comparison. Again though, this is Robert’s site, and he wants comments that are only in line with his thinking, and I’m OK with that.

These are only “my views” as I’m not a real political animal, however I do take an interest in American and Canadian politics and really enjoy a good 2 way debate, as this is how you learn.

I will respect Robert’s wishes on this subject, because it’s his blog, and he wants the political persuasion presented within his beliefs and acceptability. I wish they were a little more “relaxed,” as I do like open discussions on all subjects, but will respect Robert’s rules. In other words, I can’t say anything good about Trump – I can live with that . From people in the US I’ve talked to – “most feel Trump will be kicked out of office.” It will be very interesting to see what happens?

I will donate to your site Robert – don’t worry, I just have to set up my PayPal account.

Note – again I say “allow” all comments on the Delphi case irregardless of people’s political affiliation, as it may lead to an arrest, and this is owed to the girls. Great work you did on this Delphi case Robert.

I am sorry. This country has gone so downhill so fast that I am being driven insane by politics. This election for the first time in my life, I ended all of my friendships with conservatives. I stayed friends with them all the way from Carter on, but this time they finally just went too far. Fascism comes to America? Um, don’t think so! Every one of my friends who supported Trump was cut off. Some friendships had lasted for 5-10 years. Politics in this country is getting vicious and we are tearing ourselves apart.

Oh I allow ALL comments absolutely! People of any political affiliation can post on the Delphi posts! Conservatives please post to your heart’s content on the Delphi pages! Just don’t talk politics over there please. I do not want to have to ban you. The other posts are trickier, but on nonpolitical posts you can comment on an encyclopedia of subjects. Just don’t promote US conservatism and it’s all good.

I have many conservative commenters on this site! They generally keep quiet about their politics though. They are just not allowed to promote conservatism, in particularly the Republican/Libertarian variety in the US, that’s all. Also I might not like it if you have a website where you post such things. But just keep all that to yourself and it’s all good. We are here to solve  crimes, not talk politics!

Conservatives can about anything else under the sun. You could maybe even promote the Conservative Party of Canada. I don’t like them very much, but they are probably to the left of the US Democratic Party. “Conservative” parties in other countries are quite different from our homegrown crazies.

Also you can post social conservatism to your heart’s content. After all, this site is run by a socially conservative Leftist, if that makes any sense at all.

We tried letting conservatives on here for many years, but US conservatives are bizarre. They’re like rabid dogs. They swarm leftwing sites looking to start fights with liberals and Leftists, to “fight the lies.” Lefties usually don’t go to rightwing sites to fight them. We avoid sewers. We don’t swim in them. Well after a while, all of my commenters were conservatives, racists, and other morons.

I looked at my site and I said all my commenters are rightwing nutballs and I’m a Leftist! I’m a socialist. What the Hell. So we decided to ban them. I already know all their views on everything under the sun anyway. We do opposition research you know. I even watch Fox with a barf bag in one hand. It’s sort of like spying on the enemy in war. Know your enemy!

I’ve had it with Right vs. Left political debate and rightwingers have nothing to teach me or convince me of anything. And I know more about politics than 95% of Americans. Also, I had to spend all of my time  responding to the rightwingers lies, I mean posts. They said all these crazy things. I would have to go research their claims. Of course, everything they said was basically a life. Hey they are conservatives, what do you expect? But it was a great big waste of my time. I have articles to date, women to chase and seduce, bottles of whiskey to drink, errands to run. I don’t have time for stupid BS.

And in regard to Mr. Palin’s particular politics, your average Canadian has decent enough politics that they can post away here all they wish. I assume they can even make political comments or promote their politics. Mr. Palin should not be afraid to comment. And of course Mr. Pallin may discuss Donald Drumpf all he wishes on here. Just blast away at his disgusting ass though, ok? Help us put down this rabid dog. You may not promote Trump in any way, but you can say positive things about a few things, like illegal immigration perhaps as believe it or not, I am a Leftist who hates illegal immigration! It’s bad for workers, and I’m for the workers.

Alt Left is not extreme socialism at all. Alt Left would be like those rednecks from Indiana who all vote Republican now and support Trump. They would have all of their present beliefs on everything else except their economic politics would be socialist or social liberal. You know, pro-worker. Alt Left could be redneck socialism, socialism for rednecks, socialism for the average guy, socialism for normal people, etc. We are just Left on economics.

We hate the Cultural Left. Alt Left is here. Hell some of you rednecks voting Republican right now might even like it. You guys are workers who taking an extreme anti-worker position. What’s up with that? It’s retarded. You can still be a redneck, but workers should be for the workers, right? Vote for the party of the workers, not the party of their enemies, the bosses and the rich.

I hope misconceptions are all cleared up now. Conservatives may have many good insights on the Delphi and crime posts. I would hate to scare them off.
