Chubby Girl Gets Skinny: Lifestyle Diary 8

By Elisabeth @onecutedoc

I am so happy to be starting a lifestyle change. I did terrible with my goals this week. I really didn't stick to any of them. It was such a stressful week and I completely fell off the healthy lifestyle wagon. I know it is awful, but this really is my struggle. I know within time...I will live the lifestyle I am destined to live. I will accomplish all my goals and achieve a healthy lifestyle. I am NOT going to beat myself up. I am going to pick up the pieces and really get serious. I ate terribly and snacked on so much candy this week. Almost every day I ate a whole bag of M&Ms and gummy worms. I made terrible choices and that isn't an excuse...it is the truth. It is beyond time that I tell myself I AM WORTH IT and I WILL DO THIS!

However, I did do well with my fitness goals. I accomplished them all!

The lovely Brie from Laqing in Creativity is joining me in this journey. It is so important to encourage others and I would love to have all of you join me (even if you aren't a blogger). Make sure you follow her along in her journey here! She is so lovely and I am just beyond proud of her. We are also working on a project for June that will make it easy for you all to join us! It will be like one big lifestyle change family. If you are a blogger, it will also be a way to gain more exposure. I can't wait to share it with you all! I want it to be a place where women and men of all sizes can come and share their journey! Everyone will be welcome!

The stunning Japs from MissInformation is also joining us! She will be updating her lifestyle change along with her OOTD! How clever! Make sure you follow along in her journey here! She is so beautiful and I love her fashion! Definitely, check out her posts too!

Today's Thought-Provoking Question:

Q: Where is the weirdest place you have seen someone you know?

A: HMMM....I am trying to think of the weirdest place...all I can think of right now is work? What about you? Where is the weirdest place you have seen someone you know?

As I said before, this was an extremely bad week. I even had a meltdown at work due to very rude customers. I cried and I never cry at work. Tensions are high and it is so sad to see the store getting so empty. It is starting to look as if we were never there. I am so sad and will just miss my work family so much. I also am dealing with some other issues that are hard and all that lead to me eating terribly. It isn't a good excuse, but it is the truth. I really need to just stop making excuses and eat better for ME! I am just so stressed and I need to stop letting everything get to me so much. I started my devotions today (Sunday) and it really hit hard. I have been running from God and pushing him away. I truly believe that is why I am feeling so miserable. I read this,

"Glorifying and enjoying Me is a higher priority than maintaining a tidy, structured life. Give up your striving to keep everything under control - an impossible task and a waste of precious energy...My guidance for each of My children is unique. That's why listening to me is so vital for your well-being. Let me prepare you for the day that awaits you and point you in the right direction." - Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

This just really hit me in the chest. I have to stop trying to control everything and give it over to the One who really is in control. I can't do it on my own anymore. I am wasting all of my energy and need to be looking to the One who gives me energy...Jesus. He is better than any Monster or Red Bull ever will be. He has a unique plan for my life and I need to trust that. He knows the plan for my life and He will lead me in the right direction. I am going to work next week on taking this completely to heart and realizing I will be successful...but only in His timing!

How are all of you doing on your lifestyle journey? I would love to know!
