Christmas Fairs

By Decorque

To get in the Christmas spirit why not visit a local Christmas Fair? If you are looking for something not available on the high street individually designed with a personal touch you’ll find a great choice.

We have had the pleasure of exhibiting at a couple of such fairs locally. The first was held at the Oxford Hotel. It was set in a large festively decorated room, with free mulled wine and minced pies throughout the evening for everyone!  On offer was a wide choice of gifts lovely jewelry from Sophie of Sophie Court Designs, a unique selection of alcohol from Demi John, toys by Fairies and Friends and even bird nesting boxes with fitted cameras.

Our next pre-Christmas fair was a new, outside event at Bicester Avenue near Bicester Village Designer Outlet. It had a great Christmas atmosphere and we thank Lakeland for warming up the stall holders with mulled wine and small mince pies. Again, there were many beautifully designed products. It was nice to meet Megan Ashwell a fellow Surface Pattern Designer with her designs on ceramics and other gifts ideas. There were great Christmas puddings, preserves, Silverstone beer and woolen knitted accessories from Nepal.

The highlight of the day was the arrival of George and Fred, two beautiful eighteen month- old reindeer trotting past, too young to pull a sleigh but enchantingly beautiful. As the light faded the twinkling Christmas lights came on the trees and the band began to play!

Got a local event that you would like to shout about, or seen an event that you think Decorque might be suitable to exhibit at? Why not get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
