classic chocolate truffles - easy holiday recipes

This is the classic chocolate truffles recipe which is made with fine dark chocolate and cream.I tried this one many times but cant get right consistency and this time i rolled it with powdered pistachios.
Its been holiday recipes around blogging world,am here with my first recipe.Truffles can be made with any kinda chocolate and i tried with white chocolate too,soon will post the recipe here.You can roll the truffles with any toppings like chopped hazelnuts,sugar sprinkles or simply with cocoa powder.
This year, i planned to make some more edible gifts for my friends here and will sure share those recipes here.Chocolate is one such wonderful ingredient to play with ,especially in desserts.Mostly i want o do desserts with dark chocolate and this time am eyeing on white chocolate desserts.I dont like white chocolate ,so all taste testing goes to V and he liked my truffles which i made recently.

truffles made with chocolate and cream
Ingredients
- dark chocolate - 100 gm,finely chopped
- cream - 1/4 cup
- butter - 1 teaspoon
- pistachios - powdered,for rolling
- In a double boiler,melt together,dark chocolate ,cream and butter.Once everything melts and combines evenly,remove from the boiler and transfer it to a bowl.
- Refrigerate it for 2 hours and after 2 hours it should be firm and able to make a ball.
- Scoop as per your desired size and roll it into smooth ball.Immediately roll it in powdered pistachios and refrigerate.
- serve chilled.
