Chiwetel Ejiofor is the actor everyone is talking about. He is one of my favorites because of his brilliant play, full of emotional depth. Born in London in the family of Nigerian immigrants. His father is a doctor, his mother - a pharmacist. A year ago when Steve McQueen offered him a role in "12 Years a Slave"  Chiwetel Ejiofor received a sign from fate.

A while ago he was filming in Savannah , Georgia, and on his day off he decided to join the tour of the city. The guide showed them a place from the nineteenth century called the slave hut and explained that the Africans were imprisoned there before being sent to the slave markets . Chiwetel noticed massive heavy bolts on the walls and the guide explained that these bolts were extra special chains for the slaves from the tribe " Ibo " which was the most indomitable , most powerful and most dangerous. "I am Ibo",  said Chiwetel . The guide paused for a second and then said, " So you 've been here, too . The walls are stained with your blood also because someone with a DNA close to yours was nailed here before." That experience was so powerful for Chiwetel that when he was offered the part in for "12 Years a Slave", he accepted immediately.

He has a purple belt in jiu-jitsu but has interest in Shakespeare's works as well. He began his career in the theater, but when she was 19 , Steven Spielberg discovered him for his film "Amistad " and since then the most eminent directors would love to have him in their movies. He has worked with Woody Allen, Stephen Frears , Spike Lee. They call him "the first genuine black movie star of Britain " and in 2013 the whole London was talking about his Othello. The 36 -year-old Chiwetel already grabbed the BAFTA award for his role in "12 Years a Slave."

His native Nigeria is associated with the most traumatic experience in his life. When he was 11 Chiwetel and his father went to his homeland and on their way back, traveling to the airport they had a car accident. The father died that very moment and Chiwetel spent 10 weeks in the local hospital with life in danger. The scars of this tragedy are still visible today, years after the unfortunate accident so that he has never gone back to Nigeria since then.
