Christopher Bodeen reports for the AP, Nov. 28, 2013, that days after the U.S., South Korea and Japan all sent flights through the airspace unilaterally declared last Saturday by China as its East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), China today said it had sent warplanes into the ADIZ.

China's ADIZ overlaps with Japan's over the Senkaku or Diaoyu islands, the ownership of which is claimed by both Beijing and Tokyo.

Days after the United States flew 2 unarmed B-52 bombers over the East China Sea in defiance of China's unilateral declaration of an Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) over the sea -- a zone that includes the Senkaku islands, the ownership of which is claimed by both Japan and China -- China is flexing its muscle by flying its bombers into the zone. China is also telegraphing its intention to declare a similar ADIZ over the South China Sea, which is contested by S.E. Asian countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines. Meanwhile, China recently declared it will no longer stockpile foreign-exchange currencies, including the U.S. dollar. Major troubles ahead! ~Eowyn
