The 2nd Annual San Antonio Book Festival will be held Saturday, April 5th, from 10-5pm at the Downtown San Antonio Public Library. Last year, we went after the kids' basketball game and had a wonderful time and spent the rest of the day at the festival. There's crafts, book readings, book signings, music and food!
And at the forefront of the children's section are many wonderful Spanish and English bilingual and cultural books. It's a perfect setting for my dual language learners.
All of the action for kids will happen under the Children's Reading Tent, outside in the Library Plaza.
Here's a lineup of the great children's books you will see and hear:

A special event with the Magik Theatre!
Most authors or illustrators were available to sign a book after their reading. Books are also available to purchase at the festival. I really hope you calendar this event, it was a great experience for us! Check out our time last year and if you are interested in more of the adult literary fun, check out my friend Melanie's post and the San Antonio Book Festival website!
