Chic ~~ Time to Update Your Chic Bookshelf

By Vintagefrenchchic

A long time ago, on a blog far, far removed from here, I did a review/post of a fabulous book called, “Looking Good–A Complete Guide to Wardrobe Planning, Color & Personal Style Development” by Nancy Nix-Rice.  It is one of my all time favorite books that covers the basics every woman should know about capsule dressing, knowing your colors, how to highlight your good features and camouflage your less than perfect ones, etc, etc. (click here for more).  However, some women are put off by the book because it is fairly dated.  I thrive on things being dated so it was a non-issue with me.  Plus, the information was timeless despite the late 80s/ early 90s time stamp.

Now, I am THRILLED to report, it is updated for the 21st century!

I bought the Nook version of this since I am trying VERY HARD not to add more books to my crowded bookshelves (and I really don’t know which ones to part with anymore–quandary!) but I think I would prefer it in hard copy.  It’s like a picture book for chic women…it should be hard copy.  I may cave and buy it that way but for now I am enjoying it on the Nook.

If you are looking for a no-nonsense, “let’s get it right” approach to looking good (chic!), then I believe you would thoroughly enjoy this book.

Have a great weekend!
