Chevrolet on Monday, 25th July 2011 launched the diesel version of Beat in India pricing between Rs. 4.29 Lakh to 5.45 Lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). The engine of this newly launched car is of 996 cc which produces 58 BHP and a torque of 150Nm @ 1750 rpm. ARAI has certified the fuel efficiency of 24 Kmpl.
“Offering a diesel engine developed for Indian consumers in our most popular model is a momentous achievement for the company,” said General Motors India President & MD Karl Slym.
The cabin and other interiors of the diesel Beat remains same as found in the petrol version.
Chevrolet has introduced three variants of diesel version PS, LS and LT.
PS – Rs. 4.29 Lac.
LS – Rs. 4.59 Lac.
