Mile Feuille of strawberry

For anybody in Delhi who is fond of eating out, Olive at Qutub is a familiar name. In the past ten years, olive has established a name for themselves. The award winning Mediterranean restaurant is well known for their unique European flavors and outstanding service.
The restaurant recently got celebrity chef Sujan Sarkar on board and we were invited to taste his newly launched winter menu where he has worked with seasonal and local produce sourced from nearby farms.
If the weather allows for it, then the outdoor seating area at the olive is my personal favorite. We chose the table under the large banyan tree overlooking the wonderful bouganvilla and the white picket fence.

Slow cooked Pork belly

We started our meal with Wild Mushroom Tortellini. The Stuffed morel and mushroom consommé with mascarpone was quite delicious and highly recommended. Next we were served the seared tuna Niçoise salad, with quail eggs, green beans, dried potatoes, pickled onions and baby potatoes. Spectacular presentation and I was very impressed with the way dishes had been presented to us. Nicoise salad with cold boiled quail eggs was absolutely wonderful in taste.

The roasted baby pumpkin and green beans came next. Pumpkin is one of those under dog vegetable that people don't experiment with much. This dish served with apricot purée and mascarpone labneh was different and good.
The pasta primavera was made with homemade spinach fettuccini, pesto and fresh winter vegetables. Pasta has perfect ingredients and was really delicious. One of the best pesto I had after a very long time.

Slow cooked Pork belly was the next. It had Carrot puree, mustard glazed apple, crackling. Carrot puree had actually mellowed down the sweetness of the pork. Truffle mashed potato was not only looking gorgeous about was extremely delightful to eat too. I was bowled over by the brilliant presentation and amazing food prepared by Chef Sujan S.
Braised beef cheek with Roasted baby veg, white onion puree, red wine jus was the highlight of our tasting menu. Marinated in red wine and slow cooking makes it the most delicious beef. Beef cheeks is the hardest meat however it was cooked with such perfection that it had a great taste.
