Like any major decisions in life, owning a puppy must be carefully decided upon. Planning is the first step in making sure that you and your pup remain calm and at ease during the transition period. Making sure that you’ve checked all puppy supplies on your list can help you plan without a hitch. Here are the basic puppy supplies that must be included in your list.

Puppy Supplies for Your Pup

Puppy Bedding. When washing puppy bedding, make sure to use no-perfume detergent. If you want to use a fabric softener, make sure that it’s an unscented one.

Puppy Crate. When buying or making a crate for your pup, you have to ensure that there’s plenty of room for your pup to move around his crate.

Puppy Food. Remember that dog food isn’t the same as puppy food. Buy food that is appropriate for your pup’s age. In the same manner, it’s important that you use age-appropriate food paraphernalia like eating and drinking bowls.

Puppy Toys. Again, “age-appropriate” is the operative term for this one. You must select toys for your pup that are designed for his age, and sometimes breed. This is important to avoid any accidents that may occur if your pup plays with a toy that isn’t suitable and match with his physique and age.

Puppy Supplies for Puppy Owners

Leash/Collar with ID Tag. When walking your puppy, it’s recommended that you use a leash, especially if your dog breed is under the hunting type. This is to prevent your puppy from getting lost. Another vital thing that you must accomplish when owning a puppy is making sure that he has an identification tag attached to his collar (or leash).

Cleaning Products. More often than not, your puppy will put evidence in your home that a puppy truly lives there. Meaning, before, during, and sometimes even after the course of housetraining, your puppy will pee on the sofa, poop on the floor, and the likes. It’s important that you arm yourself with cleaning puppy supplies that can help you get rid of the smell and stains courtesy of your new puppy.
