Check Out Records Held By The Nigerian National Team

Posted on the 04 May 2024 by Info4blog

Nigerians have always loved football, even before some of us were born. It’s a sport that unites people and provides us with joy, especially when we win.

Nigeria is a football-made country that aspires to win every match and competition it participates in.

On Monday, March 13, 2022, many Nigerians were overwhelmed with joy and exhilaration as the Super Eagles of Nigeria won their biggest match ever, a 10-0 triumph over Sao Tome.

This is not, however, the first time Nigeria has scored 10 goals in a single match.

Because many of us were not born at the time, we may not be aware of this.

Nigeria defeated Dahomey (Now Benin republic) 10-1 on November 29, 1959.

The Super Eagles were dubbed the “Red Devils,” according to reports, and wore red and white for their most recent match, in which they scored ten goals.

According to history, Nigeria had scored ten goals in a single match before Monday’s 10-0 demolition of Sao Tome and Principe in Morocco.

This 63-year-old triumph was the largest in the country’s history before it came to an end yesterday Monday 13, 2022.

In this encounter, Onyeali Elkana became the first Nigerian player to score four goals.

Nothing like that had ever been done before Yekini performed it in 1991, and then Osimhen did it three decades later.
