Catrice Highlighting Powder in Champagne Campaign

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I have had this highlighter for quite some time now, but I finally started using it a few weeks ago. I don't know why it took me so long to use it because it is actually a really good highlighter.

If you don't know about Catrice, I suggest trying them out. I have liked everything I have tried by them so far. They are a German brand and they are the sister company to Essence. And Catrice is just as affordable a Essence, too.
This highlighter is available in two shades. Champagne Campaign is a light, pearly golden champagne. It almost looks kind of peachy, but it doesn't look like that once applied. I haven't seen anything quite like it.
Here is how Catrice describes this highlighter: "Velvety soft powder with pearl effect. Creates a delicate champagne-coloured highlights on the cheekbones and under brow bones. For a beautiful luminous look."  Catrice also doesn't test on animals. =)

Overall, the formula is pretty good. It is soft and smooth, but it isn't quite as good as what you would get from a higher end brand. It does blend easily and it doesn't look patchy on the skin. However, it doesn't sit on the skin quite as well more expensive highlighters. If pores or dry patches are an issue for you, this might not be the best option for you. It isn't as intense as some of the highlighters in my collection, but you can still get a gorgeous glow from this one. The color is also a great option for fair and light skin tones. It can also be lightly built up. One swipe does a pretty good job on days you want something a little more subtle, but an extra layer or two will build up the intensity. I wouldn't recommend doing more than that because it will start to look cakey and heavy.
For the last week or so, I have been using this more than any other highlighter in my collection. I love how it works with my skin tone and it is a good, budget friendly highlighter. If you are new to highlighters or makeup in general, this is a good place to start.
It isn't perfect, but it is worth picking up. Plus it is only $5.99 at Ulta.
I will see ya'll soon!
