In this month of December, those of you with Capricorn rising will find that this is a slightly quieter time than during the rest of the year. The Sun and latterly Mercury are in Sagittarius for most of this month and this sign relates to the part of your natal chart which rules solitude, sacrifice and suffering, escapism and people opposing you from behind the scenes. For you, the Sun is nearing the end of it’s solar cycle around your chart and subconsciously you will want to withdraw away for a while and you may find trusting others rather difficult. In the same way, you will prefer to keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself especially in the first half of the month. If you are feeling a little confused and bewildered now, try and work out why. Old habits die hard, especially those ones that still affect you from your childhood years. If you can dispel those ingrown fears now, the next cycle of your life will be far more rewarding. In a way, it is time to review what happened to you recently and plan ahead so that you can move on in a more positive manner in the future. The New Moon happens on the 3rd of December and this may mean that you have contacts with hospitals and clinics during this month or with people who work in medical professions or who work behind the scenes. Mercury makes a square aspect to Neptune an aspect that could find that travel plans go awry or paperwork and letters go astray. The full Moon on the 17th hits in your 6th house of work and health in the sign of Gemini. This is an energetic new Moon asking you if now is time for you to bring in new systems in your daily work or because of it you may decide to eat a bit more healthily or do a bit more exercise.
Venus and Uranus are important this month as they change direction within days of each other. Venus which is currently in your ascendant sign of Capricorn comes to a halt on 17th December before turning retrograde. Moving in your first house you will be keenly aware of your own personal style and how you present yourself to others, and this retrograde period which lasts 6 weeks will give you a chance to assess others people and find out what personal changes you should make in order that you can relate to them in a better way. This could be in updating your wardrobe and thus your look, trying to be more considerate in what you say, spending some of your own time and money to treat the one you love or just trying to less concerned about your work and ambitions and more concerned about your partner’s feelings and desires. Uranus moves retrograde on the 21st December in your 4th house, the house of home, the family and your mother. While Uranus is in this part of your chart, family relations may be upset quite often and it is likely as Uranus turns direct that these may resurface causing arguments or unexpected upsets to occur. Maybe something in the home will break down or go wrong, even accidents could happen. Any events going on now will help in distancing you from your closest family, a long term process that will see you over time gaining more and more independence and freedom from them.
Mars in this month will be moving into the sign of Libra for a stay of 6 months indicating that work and career issues will be very active from now on until the summertime for you. This is a time when you will be busy at work and you will feel that it is best to through all your efforts into your career at this time. Mars is very assertive and your boss may be pleased with the hard work you are putting in and the initiative that you are showing, but be careful of not challenging his or her authority in trying to do your own thing a bit too much. Senior men and your father may be helpful now but be careful not to criticize them as this may lead to arguments and considerable irritation.
