We've all been there, you're out shopping with your little one in tow, whether they're newborn or a toddler, it can be rather stressful, then they decide in the middle of lunch they want to fill their nappy for everyone to know...but babies will be babies, what can you do!? I've been into many a changing room where there is literally an uncomfortable plastic pull down compartment to lay your baby on to change their nappy and a bin..not very inviting at all. However there are some shops that have gone the extra mile for mums and dads, hudnred of high street retailers have risen to the challenge of transforming their baby changing rooms to make them more inviting and practical!
“Becoming a mom is such a huge lifestyle change and your confidence can be knocked when the everyday things you enjoy, like shopping and meeting up with friends, become a hurdle. That’s why being able to go somewhere that’s clean and comfortable to change your baby is so important. It’s not only a pleasant experience for your baby but also makes you as a mom feel cared for and protected.” Says midwife Nikki Khan.If you would like to nominate a changing room for the award, be it that they've added some quirky artwork, a nice comfy changing mat or even that the access is super easy and stress free, then email a photo and the address to [email protected]. Entries will be judged by Midwife Nikki Khan and Sudocrem! The winning baby changing rooms will receive a special certificate and use of the Sudocrem Baby Changing Room logo. There is also a lovely prize for the whoever finds the winning room, for a short break at Knoll House (as mentioned at the top of the page)
The closing date for entries is 31st December and the winner will be announced on the 20th January.
