Camping On Call of Duty - The True Definition

Posted on the 19 August 2012 by Nikki @KCBlogger78
When I am playing the thing I hear complaining about most is "camping". I have decided to write a post describing what "camping" really is. I am doing this because so many people call out other players for this (even me) when it isn't even true. I don't know how many times me & other players are just simply coming around a corner, stop to look around or listen, before moving on. This is not camping, which I will cover.
Camping - is when a player sits in one corner of the map, does not move and gets multiple kills in a row. Or a player is just staying in one certain small area of a map, not moving and getting multiple kills. Also when a camper gets killed and goes right back to the same spot over and over again.
Corner Camping - this is when a player moves from one corner to another and just sits and waits.
Now here is how I play. I use Triton headset so I can hear everything. Now I won't give all my details away but one thing I will tell you. When I am playing and I hear footsteps or gunfire around me & I know which direction you are coming from, then I will stop and wait for you to appear and shoot you, stab you or tube you if you are close enough. But I make a point to move around the entire map, unless I am on a team that would like to hold one side of the map to help control spawns (which usually works until an enemy crosses the middle of the map). So don't call me a camper when you come around a corner and get killed by me cause that is not the case, I just simply knew you were coming. Just because I happen to be sitting still at the moment does not make me or any other player a camper.
Now that is my gameplay. So call me what you want cause personally until you purchase the game for me or pay me to play how you want, I will continue to play how I like and do what works for me.
