Café Centraal Milwaukee

By Fitnspicy @fitnspicy

I spent the weekend in Milwaukee making wedding jewelry, pretty exciting Winking smile 10 hours of driving was worth it to visit with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. I so rarely get  to see them and they are my some of my favorites to spend time with. Best meal of the weekend? Our brunch on Sunday morning at Café Centraal. In the Bayview area of Milwaukee, a very up and coming neighborhood.

Our food was great! Just look at this dish…

That was the Cheesy Gooey Spicy Mess three scrambled eggs, thick-cut bacon, sausage, and housemade choizo. Served over rosemary potatoes, topped with chipotle cheese sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, and fritos. I didn’t even come close to eating half. It was that much food. A little Blueberry Rooibos Tea and lots of water to combat the spiciness.

It was too bad I was getting in the car to drive 5 hours or I would have tried a Bloody Mary or something from their very extensive beer list. Our food was fantastic but the service was really slow. It took 40 minutes to get our food. I know it was a Sunday morning and they were packed but I had a 5 hour drive in front of me.
