Bye, 2017!

By Saicho18

It’s roughly an hour and ten minutes away from 2018 and I’m sleepy. I’ve never been one to stay up to welcome the New Year but I do appreciate the awesome line up of movies the cable stations show on the last day of the year. I remember it used to being the Lord of the Rings Trilogy year after year but today HBO and Star Movies have been all about the Marvel movies. I’ve been binge watching the Captain America and Avengers movies all day today.

Anyways, I figure that I’d take this time to think about the year that’s been. Surprisingly, 2017 had actually been a good year: I’ve traveled to a lot of new places and life generally had been drama free. Of course, there had been a couple of dramatic instances here and there but they all seemed to have happened for the better, you know? You probably won’t know because I won’t divulge any more details, lol but generally, things are not better because of the drama that occurred. There was also that weird lull from July to October that got me so low on energy that I literally just stayed in bed the whole time I was home.

As far as traveling goes, 2017 probably had been the most prolific in terms of countries covered but also the most expensive. I’m still kind of recovering but already am kind of planning three trips in 2018. Stay tuned for more details.

Speaking of the year ahead, I kind of have big plans for 2018, most of them blog-related. Hopefully I won’t encounter the same dip in energy so I can accomplish said plans, lol.

Anyway, I’m almost ready to turn in. I hope that you’re enjoying New Year’s Eve (or New Year’s Day) wherever you are. Happy 2018!
