Burt’s Bees Lip Colour Review

By Sparklingker @sparklingker

Today I have some goodies from Burt’s Bees to review. The Burt’s Bees lip shine, lip gloss and tinted lip balm are 100% natural and contains no bad stuff such as petroleum, parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate. Burt’s Bees also does not test on animals. According to Burt’s Bees, on average a woman can ingest up to 4kg of lip product in her lifetime. So we better start looking at the type of lippies we are buying, gobbling up 4kg of lip products which contains chemicals cannot be good for us!

Burt's Bees Lip Colour Review

Lip Shine RRP $14.95

The lip shines are packed with good stuff such as vitamin A & E and sunflower seed oil. They come in a convenient clear squeezy tube and you know exactly how much product you have left. The scent is kinda sweet and reminds me of strawberries. You know what the best thing about these lip shines are? They’re not sticky!!! This gives you the glassy wet look and is quite hydrating on the lips. The range comes in 6 colours – lush, whisper, b wink, flutter, pucker and smooch.

Lip Gloss RRP $16.95

The lip glosses are formulated with beeswax and moisturing oils. The clear tube gives a good indication of the color and how much of the product is left inside. I was sent sunny day for review and it has a slight hint of shimmer. The scent reminds me of play-doh, doesn’t linger so I’m kinda neutral towards it. The range comes in 12 shades from nudes to dark purple.

Tinted Lip Balm RRP $14.95

The lip balms contains soft flower waxes, shea butter and vitamin E to help moisturise and protect lips. The lip balms glides onto lips quite easily and does not tug onto lips like some other lip balms do. The shea butter and botanical waxes leave my lips feeling very soft and hydrated throughout the wear. Even after when the balm wears off, my lips are still quite hydrated. The shade I received was caramel daisy and it is quite sheer. In the photo I took above, I didn’t show the lip balm inside the cardboard tube. The actual lip balm tube the usual standard size. The smallish tube is very convenient because I can put it in my bag or the back of my pockets. The range comes in 9 shades from nude to plum.
