Attention everyone, a new iPhone glitch is causing typos and frustration for some users. With the growing fan following of iPhone, several IOS 11 users have been encountering a strange predictive text bug over the course of the last few days. Some say when they type a lowercase “I”, the phone’s auto-correct feature changes it to an uppercase “A” with a symbol.

Though it’s still not clear what’s causing the bug, but a familiar number of Twitter users seem to be experiencing the problem. Based on pure assumptions, it may potentially be linked to emoji, as a strange “I” character also appears under the frequently used emoji for some customers who are affected.

The glitch seems to affect iMessage, as well as other apps including Instagram and Twitter. Not all users have been affected by the bug though. In the meantime, Apple describes a workaround through its Text Replacement feature. The company says if you’re suffering from this bug and want to use this temporary fix, simply go to the Settings menu, tap General, then Keyboard, and finally tap Text Replacement. Touch the “+” symbol then in the Phrase option type “I” and in Shortcut, type a lowercase “i.” It’s a fiddly “fix” that brings new variability.

Besides, Users have come up with several quick fixes, including turning off predictive text via settings or downloading a third-party keyboard from the App Store.

So that’s all for now! Keep watching the space to know more!
