Bridal Underwear | What to Wear for Your Wedding

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
wedding underwearI feel like I have well and truly fallen off the edge of the planet recently with all this wedding planning.  If you haven't spotted on my Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, I got married on the 26th July. I can now finally reveal all my secrets to a budget driven yet stylish wedding! Before I write a post all about our special day... mine and my husbands that is! I really wanted to discuss wedding underwear. I struggled trying to find something initially as there is so much out there. I didn't want something bog standard run of the mill white cotton, I wanted and needed something that extra bit special... but of course without it costing me a small fortune. I also wanted something I could wear again.
Find the right colour My dress was white ivory so anything would work quite well, admittedly my bra straps and underwear wouldn't be showing, so I could of gone for bright pink if I really wanted! However I'm a traditional girl at heart and white shades were the choice. Which brandsTo be quite honest I lost track of the amount of brands out there you could chose from.  In the end I went with Freya as personally speaking I find they still have the support and practicality of what your underwear should be but are always flawless in designs. Be practicalAs I said above about some lingerie being impractical, sometimes they can look better off the hanger and when they're on they either don't look right or feel uncomfortable. It is a long long long day on your wedding so being comfy is one of my biggest points in this post. Lucky for me I made sure I felt happy in my underwear before I used it. My underwear Initially I didn't need a bra at all with my dress but due to changing my dress, in order to fill it out at the top I needed a strapless bra. I didn't really know where to begin looking, I obviously went for the obvious ones such as Victoria Secret and Agent Provocateur, but they were both quite dramatic in design, something that looks good but doesn't often feel good. white bra for weddingWith mine I went for a stunning Freya set called Deco Darling in ivory. This comes in a plunge bra as well and goes up to a GG cup. I'm a 32 DD so this is perfect for the bigger bust support. I went for the moulded strapless (£40) and I actually went for a different style of knickers but this particular range comes in a thong, standard brief and high waisted brief (£18) I went for the high waisted ones to create that ever lusted for hourglass look. They even have a matching garter (£15) with a little bit of blue on, which became my something blue after going against blue toenails... not a good look I decided! white ivory underwear
*The bra is the ivory color and the knickers are the white*As you can see they are very classic in style and reasonable in price. They are very comfortable too as I lasted from 10am until 1.30pm having never worn them.
