Now that the Purity Left (as well as Trump and his supporters) is all up in arms again over Donna Brazile's "courageous" revelation that the dreaded Hillary Clinton rigged the primary, robbed poor Bernie, kicked a puppy, and stole money from the orphanage, the rest of the story is coming out. Go find the closest fainting couch, because you're never going to believe it: The entire "controversy" is bullshit. Who'd have thunk it? Brazile's "revelation" was that Hillary had taken control of the party's finances because it was broke. As part of the bargain of her essentially bailing out the party, she would assume control of much of its decision-making, thus, proving that she "rigged" the primaries. That scenario didn't hold up well under even cursory examination but a slightly deeper dive finishes it off: The August 26, 2015, memorandum of understanding from Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook to DNC CEO Amy Dacey details the relationship between Clinton's campaign and the DNC long before she won her party's nomination.
In exchange for Hillary for America's (HFA) helping the cash-strapped DNC raise money, the party committee agreed "that HFA personnel will be consulted and have joint authority over strategic decisions over the staffing, budget, expenditures, and general election related communications, data, technology, analytics, and research." So far, so evil. Truly, Clinton is a monster, expecting some control over the money she's pouring into a party being run into the ground by poor management. There's nothing to indicate she undermined Bernie in any way but when has the Hillary-hating Purity Left needed evidence or facts when it comes to declaring her guilty on all charges? But here's the part Brazile conveniently forgot to mention in her publicity stunt designed to generate Bernie Bro outrage and boost sales: However, the memo also made clear that the arrangement pertained to only the general election, not the primary season, and it left open the possibility that it would sign similar agreements with other candidates. So....Hillary didn't control the party during the primary? And Bernie could have had the exact same arrangement if he hadn't refused it (which he did)? Doesn't that negate the entire "Hillary rigged the primary" narrative of this story? But wait, it gets so much worse for the Hillary haters: "Nothing in this agreement shall be construed to violate the DNC's obligation of impartiality and neutrality through the Nominating process. All activities performed under this agreement will be focused exclusively on preparations for the General Election and not the Democratic Primary," the memo states. That's the entire ball of way right there and then some. Remember, this is a document allegedly giving Hillary the power to unfairly rig the primaries. At the same time, this communication is between Hillary and the DNC who were supposed to be working together to cheat Bernie. I don't know about you, but when I'm plotting against my enemies, I always make sure to talk about how I promise to be impartial and neutral. Could they have put that language there to make it look like they were neutral when they weren't? Sure, but then why would they put in the part about allegedly giving Hillary control of the party to rig the primaries? You can't have it both ways. That's just stupid and so is this entire story. Trump is setting the country on fire. He's a traitor working for the Russians. He's preparing to fire Robert Mueller and Republicans are going to let him get away with it. Nazis are marching in the street preparing for a race war. The country is on the verge of collapse. If you can't stop your fucking bitching about Hillary Clinton for one goddamn second because she hurt your precious fucking feelings you're not a progressive fighting for a better tomorrow, you're a fucking spoiled brat throwing a temper tantrum because you didn't get an iPhone for Christmas. You, yes you, are part of the problem and you're making things worse by falling for this transparent garbage. Get the fuck over 2016 and vote blue.
