Branden Mcullum Century Takes Kiwis to 191against BD

Branden Mcullum hits superb centuryTaking stock of weak Bangladeshi bowling Branden Mcullum has hit a superb and first century of the tournament. Bangladeshi captain won the toss and elected to field first. Decision to send kiwis to bat proved disastrous. Although they got an early breakthrough when MJ Guptill was bowled by Abdul Razzak. However there was no looking back for Kiwis after that. Departure of Guptill brought Mcullum at the crease and he roared back at th tigers.

Branden Mcullum looked in great touch as he played a superb knock. His innings was stuuded with seven sixes and 11 fours. In this match Bangladesh had very little to celebrate. There little joy came when James franklin was caught by Elias Sunny of f Mashrafe Mortaza in 15th over. Franklin shared a 94 runs partnership with Branden Mcullum. He scored 35 runs which included two fours and one six. His presence at the crease was in fact shadowed by power hitting of Mcullum.

Ross Taylor walked into the Pallekale Stadium to accompany Branden Mcullum. Bangladeshi skipper tried seven bowlers but non of them was able to shake the confidence of Branden. Abdul Razzak was pick of the bowlers as he grabbed two wickets for 28 runs. No other bowler looked threatning for New Zealand.

Branden Mcullum extracted most out of his stay at crease. He scored 123 runs off 58 balls he faced. Bangladesh got a late chance to oust him but was not availed. He was dropped at 97 and went on to add 27 more runs to his personal and team score. Mcullum perished at the last ball when he went after a wide ball and threw his bat on it only to be caught by fielder running in from boundary. By this time it was too late. He finished after scoring highest T20 score.
