Brand Your Organization’s Facebook Fan Page

Posted on the 06 June 2011 by Chrisbrown @ChrisBrown330

TV commercials all seem to direct the consumers to the company’s Facebook Fan page instead of the company website.  It’s because the fan page is so much more interactive than most company websites.

One advantage of having a Facebook Fan Page over a Group page is that you can brand it with your compan’s own name.  You’ll need to have at least 25 fans before you can switch from the numbers to your name.

Once you create the name, you can’t change it or transfer it, so double check your spelling before you click OKAY!

First, log into Facebook.  Here’s the link to set the brand name of your Facebook page.

Pick the name and hit submit.  It is that easy to get your name from a number on a Facebook fan page into your own name.

When ever I am working on a Facebook challenge and need a bit of advice, Mari Smith’s blog/website is one that I turn too.  She usually writes a great, easy to understand update about how to use the latest Facebook tool as soon as it is live.

Who do you turn to for updates?
