Borrowed Inspiration for Your Week: “Big Book” Edition

By Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

Good morning fellow bloggers!  Today is one of my last days off before starting the full-time (but sadly temporary) teaching job and I’m trying to get a lot done today…which of course means I slept in later than I meant to because it’s my last chance to do so and haven’t gotten anything done yet!   I did, however, get some exciting news last week.  While I’m still searching for a permanent full time job, but I did get into grad school!  Which means if I can’t find a job I can go to school full time for a semester or two while I continue the search.  Very exciting stuff!

For your borrowed inspiration I found this pattern on Etsy.  It’s not too difficult and you could probably draw one up for yourself if you’re in the mood, but it’s so cute and it’s something I could see hanging up in a library somewhere.

Borrowed Inspiration for your Week: “Big Book” Edition

If you’re interested in this pattern it’s only $3.50 on Etsy from never dying poet.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to post this Wednesday because a lot of other things came up, but that does mean you get 2 in progress pictures today.  So, here’s my progress with the LEO pattern.

Here's my progress as of Wednesday.

Here’s my progress as of Wednesday.

Here's my progress for this week.

Here’s my progress for this week.

This week the progress actually seems to be turning into something.  There’s a lot of blank space to fill in but now that the lighter blues for the stars are finished it’s bringing out the different shades in the sky.  I can’t wait until I get more than just the first page done.  With as detailed as the background is already I have high hopes for the rest of the pattern.

I’ve made some progress on the book front too.  My latest finish this week were Every day, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and An Ideal Husband.  I’m also reading Game of Thrones which I’m loving so far.  I’m hoping to have it finished by this week, especially since I just bought the first two seasons on DVD and I don’t want to watch them until I’ve read the book first.

So what are you working on or reading this week?  Any other Game of Thrones fans out there? (I know I’ve come to it a little late in the game…)
