Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.

She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.

When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

Review

I was really excited and nervous at the same time to read P.S. I Still Love You, which is the second book of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han. I loved the first book because it was really refreshing to read, plus, I’ve been so taken by Peter hehe. I was excited to know what will happen next to Lara Jean and Peter’s lovestory but apprehensive on what’s going to be the conflict this time. And yep, I am really right to feel apprehensive because I hate the conflict. This is one of the reasons why I don’t love YA most of the time because of the childish and really frustrating conflicts. But even if I ended up dropping Peter in my book boyfriend list, I still enjoyed this one. Imagine, I stayed so late just to finish this story haha.

For the characters, I have to say that Lara Jean is brave yet coward at the same time especially when it comes to Peter. Ofcourse it’s understandable because she’s still so young. But despite that, there are times that she’s fearless and I love that part of her. Aside from that, I also love her inquisitive side, haha.

For Peter. My! That was a jerk move when you lied to your girlfriend especially when you had it written in the contract that you’ll be honest with each other. Ofcourse they both have faults in the relationship but can’t he be a normal guy for once and be sensitive to her feelings? And you know what really pisses me off? He asked the necklace back after they broke up. Like, wtf?! Ofcourse it’s expensive but I thought she’s the most important girl to you dude? That was definitely a d*ck move and you have the right to get jealous of John?! Honestly, I think John is perfect for her. I just wished that dance on eight grade happened. But well, even if he screwed big time (I’m blaming it all on him, haha), I was still happy that he was able to make up and finally made a move to win her back. (haha, sorry for dropping some spoiler there, I’m just a little furious)

And speaking of winning her back, I sure find the ending simple yet sweet even if there’s still a lot more to say. And I guess that’s why book 3 was created eh?

As usual, everything was perfectly written and so light to read too, that even if I am silently cursing Peter, I’m still eager to finish this story and find out what’s going to happen. Of all the books I’ve read, I have to say that Jenny Han is one of those few authors that I really love the writing style and the tone she exudes.

Btw, I happen to listen to One Ok Rock’s song the Decision and I think it’s perfect for this story. Did I tell you Lara Jean was torn between these two handsome dudes? I think she both loved them so that’s why she needs to decide. But I guess it’s obvious who she’ll pick based on the first book eh? Haha, but still, I’m hoping he’ll pick up John. He’s definitely perfect. Well, that’s better then since I get to have him instead? haha

If you guys likes YA like I do, P.S. I Still Love You should definitely in your list. Actually, this whole series are. Read the first book first and then this one to understand the story. I haven’t read the third book yet (and I’m definitely getting a copy) but I have to say that my favorite book so far is the first one. Enjoy *wink

*I heard they’re making a movie of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and I can’t wait to find out who’s the casts for Lara Jean and Peter. Yay!
