Synopsis

Three weeks ago, hotel heiress and Southern society darling, Clarke Myers had it all, or so she thought. She followed the rules laid out by her mama, she bit her tongue unless explicitly asked for her opinion, and she never ever used foul language… except in her private thoughts. It isn’t until after her botched bachelorette party, that Clarke decides that it’s time to start living for herself. Nothing says “fresh start” quite like moving into a vintage trailer resort in the Pacific Northwest, and working for the MLB’s newest team. Between learning the ropes of her new position and dodging calls from her family, the last thing she’s looking for is a new relationship. But a fling with the baseball player next door might be okay, right?

Soren “Sin” Sinclair might be one hell of a ball player, but all anybody seems to care about is the bad reputation that follows him from team to team. Random bar fights, disagreements with coaching staff, leaked d*ck pics—they call him “Sin” for a reason. He’s determined to make the most of his time with the Rose City Roasters and that means no distractions. That is until he meets the blonde bombshell he’s working with—and living next door to—who also wants his help checking off every item on her naughty to-do list. Suddenly, a distraction doesn’t sound so bad after all… so long as they cut ties when the season starts.

But getting each other out of their systems might be easier said than done. After all, there’s nothing more appealing to a good girl than the bad boy next door.

My Thoughts

For BookTok the it thing to read is Hockey Romance.  Don’t get me wrong I have been reading my fair share of Hockey Romance, but I have to say it was refreshing to have Kelly Reynolds come out with ‘Hit it and Quit it’ a Baseball Romance book.  Spoiler alert I wasn’t even done with the book and I was making sure all of my friends knew how much I was enjoying this book and making sure they started to read the book.

In ‘Hit it and Quit it’ there was a broad range of characters that helped build the story.  They also had different backgrounds and were not all the same. It was great seeing a book that had something for everyone.  And you couldn’t help but also fall in love with the main characters, Clarke and Soren.

Clarke and Soren come from an extremely complicated past but that is how they were able to be the people they are.  What I like about these two is they knew getting over that part would not be easy and at the end and at the same time they knew they were right for each other until the end of time. It was great seeing them know that and start to come up with a plan to win each other back.

Yes, ‘Hit it and Quit it’ is a Baseball romance and takes place during spring training and the season.  But I have to say if you don’t know much about the game that is okay. This takes place more behind the scenes and anything that is talking about the game Kelly does a wonderful job telling the reader about it, so they are not lost.

The story that Kelly put together for ‘Hit it and Quit it’ is so well done I am giving this book 4 ½ stars. Trust me when I say once you pick it up you will not want to put it down or the story to end as you will be so invested.  Also, make sure you have a way to cool down because the spice level is a sold 4!

If you are a fan of Tessa Bailey this book is for you. ‘Hit it and Quit it’ is a delightful story and spice that makes Kelly Reynolds the next Tessa Bailey with her writing in my book.  ‘Hit it and Quit it’ was just released and is available wherever you get your books and if you are a Kindle Unlimited member you will be pleased to know that this book is part of your membership.

**I would like to thank Kelly Reynolds for the ARC copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own.**
