Book Review: Everyone Has a Story by Author Savi Sharma

By Shivalisingla

I was looking online for some inspirational & self-help books when I came across “Everyone Has a Story by Author Savi Sharma.” I wasn’t sure if it was for me or not because the title and the book cover clearly depicted that it is going to be a love story instead. It’s not like I hate love stories, but it’s just a “readers phase” I guess.

I thought a lot before buying and then, I ended up buying it just because of the line that was written on the back cover of the book. It says,”Everyone has a story to tell, everyone is a writer. Some are written in the books, some are confined to hearts.”

So, here are my afterthought’s on the book:

Synopsis

Everyone has a story to tell, everyone is a writer.
Some are written in the books, some are confined to hearts.

Meera, a fledgeling writer who is in search of a story that can touch millions of lives.

Vivaan, assistant branch manager at Citibank, who dreams of travelling the world.

Kabir, a café manager who desires something of his own.

Nisha, the despondent café customer who keeps secrets of her own.

Everyone has their own story, but what happens when these four lives are woven together? Pull up a chair in Kafe Kabir and watch them explore friendship and love, writing their own pages of life from the cosy café to the ends of the world.

Book Review

Firstly, to tell you, I finished my first read in about 3 hours in one go. It’s really paced that way.

The story starts off when Meera, the protagonist who is in search of a story for her book that could move people, and change their lives, bumps into Vivaan who is a bank manager who dreams to travel the world, in a cafe. Kabir is the cafe manager who has his own desires to achieve and so does one of his cafe customers, Nisha who has a lot to sort out in her complex life.

The story becomes engaging when they all come together in a frame & author starts to reveal their past, their stories one by one. The author has narrated each of their stories in a way and in the time frame that they felt real and hence, honest by the emotions they held.

I won’t reveal the stories here because there would be no point in buying the book afterwards.

It does have a hint of suspense to it too, but I didn’t find anything new that hasn’t been seen or read before. I wish there were some sort of major moves by the protagonist or the characters for their ambitions. I felt it as a good love story, to be honest, but I won’t say it’s inspirational enough. They talk of their dreams, but that is left up to that point only and hence, not taken ahead with deep conversations or relatable actions or executions.

So, if you are looking for a story of love, friendship then go ahead and buy a copy for yourself. As a first-time author, Savi Sharma has done a really nice job with her book “Everyone Has a Story.” Looking forward to her future reads.

Plot & Writing Style

The writing style of the author is assertive and touching as well. She has woven the story plot with deep, touching & heartfelt emotions which will move the readers inside out.

It has the touch of inspiration to it which shows up when the characters talk about their dreams with such honesty. This book doesn’t have much depth to it, and I would have loved it if it had a plus point of some new and major actions by the main characters.

Do I recommend?

Yes! I recommend this book to each and every one, who have dreams, big or small & are looking for a way to stay positive throughout. Hence, go ahead to buy it if you want a good, quick & light read. But I wouldn’t recommend this to the ones who are looking for enough inspiration in their lives.
