Vancouver-based roots rock band The Matinée has just released a very cool remix of their song Blood Alley. If you take the original track, mix in some psychedelic beats, sprinkle in a little trance vibe, add a great video director and you get the updated version of the song and it's magnificent.
The psychedelic, trance component comes from the legendary Martin "Youth" Glover, London, England based producer/remix master who has major credits in his catalogue including his work with Killing Joke, Guns and Roses, Paul McCartney, U2, and The Verve's classic Bitter Sweet Symphony.
The video is directed by Johnny Jansen and it has a very cool Stranger Things feel. It's very different from the original but it's awesome!
