Name: Victoria Storm

Blog Address: vicstorya.com

What is your blog about?

Vicstorya is a commentary on life and pop culture that ducks into the fashion world every once in a while.

What inspired you to start your blog?

I had been writing for a website called thevillagestyle.com for around eight months, and I found I really enjoyed it. I loved the ability to make someone laugh and provide utility to them along the way, and I decided I should carve out my own corner of the internet to do just that.

When did you start your blog?

July 2014

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

Any blogger will tell you that this is the hardest part of blogging. Surrounding myself with inspiration makes all the difference. I can force myself to write to a deadline all day long, but my best work happens when I’m struck by an idea and translate it to a post in an hour. Keeping myself inspired and available to that creativity keeps my blog at the best quality.

What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?

The most frustrating part for me is the feeling of creating something no one’s thought of before. There’s so much noise in the blogging world now that trying to be unique is almost impossible. Coming up with content that hasn’t been covered a thousand times before can be very challenging.

In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?

Right now Vicstorya is just an effort to improve my skill and voice. I would love to write as a career, and I see this blog as a kind of living resume for that.

Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?

Not yet, but I haven’t been around for all that long.

If you could do only ‘one thing’ today then what would it be?

Right now I’m in the midst of #14daysofangst, a brief stint of full on rebellion before my 20th birthday. So if I could do one thing today, I think it would be to pull a legendary prank on the Jock dorm on campus. And I intend to do just that.
