What is your blog about?

My blog addresses topics related to fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I usually do a OOTD post, give some style tips regarding a certain look or piece while using my own outfit as an example. I also occasionally blog about beauty products, my travels and some of my DIY projects.

What inspired you to start your blog?

I started my blog as a personal outlet of expression, if you go back to my archives, you’d see a lot of personal posts. But over time, I decided to do something more related to fashion and beauty because I love dressing up to a certain theme or look, and I want to help other girls look good too!

When did you start your blog?

I started blogging about fashion more seriously in 2013.

How do you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?

I don’t put myself on a deadline regarding the number of times I post, or what kind of things I should talk about. I think the most important thing about keeping a blog is staying true to your voice. If you’re listening to yourself and going after your ideas, motivation won’t become an issue. You’ll always feel inspired.

Of course, blogger friends and my readers make all the difference. Getting heard by them definitely keeps me going.

What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging?

I think because some people have made it big in the scene, the blogging sphere has become even more popular than ever. More people are hopping on the bandwagon in hopes of becoming popular. I go on certain platforms and I always receive friend requests from people who just want their stats to increase saying “please follow me”, instead of really getting to know fellow bloggers. I think blogging has turned into a self thing, more than a people thing now.

In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?

There’s so many well-known bloggers out there, and it’s a tough industry to get noticed. There’s too much noise. But I definitely hope my blog will still keep on going in the future, although I wouldn’t put too much pressure on myself. I have taken up a few projects this year, but I’m more of a “let’s see where it goes” kind of person. Even if projects and collaborations don’t come, I would still continue to blog because that’s what I love doing.

Have you met anyone interesting/famous on your blogging journey?

I haven’t met anyone as of yet, but I worked with a translating company on a fashion post which I thought was quite interesting because you don’t connect translation services with fashion immediately.

If you could do only ‘one thing’ today then what would it be?

Definitely lie in bed and read a book. I’ve been working nonstop since school ended. I would love to have some chill time!
