Big Snow on 1st June - and Keep Your Ski Legs Tuned with Great Summer Offers from SNO!Zones in the UK

By Surfcat

Snow_1stJune CDHQ woke up to news of big snowfall in the French Alps overnight. News from CD members in Meribel, Chamonix and Paradiski has come in with reports of a foot of snow in some places! Good news for the glaciers and anyone looking for some summer skiing in the next few months. Thanks in particular to AktivExperience and Alpine365 who sent us pics. Toorna from Alpine365 sent us this pic this morning of Les Coches, Paradski. If you're in the Alps post a pic to our Facebook wall at facebook.com/ChaletsDirect.

If you need to find other ways to keep your ski and board legs in shape then there's always the indoor stuff. If you're living near one of the SNO!Zones at Milton Keynes, Castleford and Braehead they have a great summer offer starting today, 1st June and running until August 31st. A two-hour ski/board pass will cost £16, for sessions booked for any time on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and until 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Evening sessions can cost up to £33 so that's a saving of up to £17 (Two-hour midweek daytime sessions usually cost £27, so the saving is £11.) Family tickets are also available for £60.
Not bad if you're missing the snow.

Of course around about now alpine lift companies will be dusting off their cable cars and the odd chairlift to get ready for the opening for the summer season. There are lots of special offers around - in particular the Mulitpass offer in the Portes du Soleil which gives access to loads of activities for just 1€ a day. The mountain bike mecca of Les Gets opens it's lifts tomorrow with a special price of 10€ per day all over the weekend.

So whilst it's snow today it will more than likely be gone tomorrow - or after tomorrow!
